Featured Voices: Blue Cure Men’s Health Podcast.

The Blue Cure Men’s Health Podcast brings together leading physicians, researchers, public health leaders, and patient advocates to help men and families navigate prostate cancer and broader men’s health issues with credible, evidence-based information.

In an era of widespread health misinformation and conflicting medical advice, Blue Cure seeks out recognized experts from leading medical institutions, academic research centers, public health agencies, and patient advocacy organizations. Our goal is to make their knowledge accessible, understandable, and useful to the people who need it most.

Connecting patients with trusted medical voices has been part of Blue Cure’s work since its earliest years. Long before launching the podcast in 2023, founder Gabe Canales interviewed physicians and lifestyle medicine researchers for his published columns, collaborated with medical experts on television and other media appearances, and brought specialists directly to communities through the Blue Cure Lecture Series. These efforts included interviews, public lectures, and educational programs featuring physicians, researchers, and advocates such as Lorenzo Cohen, PhD, Margaret Cuomo, MD, Joel Kahn, MD, and Erin Brockovich.

Diagnosed with prostate cancer at age 35 in 2010, Gabe remains on active surveillance and understands firsthand how overwhelming medical information can be for patients and families. His experience as a patient and advocate continues to shape the questions asked and the issues explored.

Today, the Blue Cure Men’s Health Podcast builds on that longstanding commitment. Through patient-centered, plain-spoken conversations, we explore prevention, screening, treatment, survivorship, lifestyle medicine, and related health concerns, including cardiovascular health, mental health, and metabolic disease. Conversations with public health leaders also highlight community health programs and local resources that men and families can explore in their own communities.

Our purpose is not to overwhelm people with information, but to help them distinguish credible evidence from misinformation, ask better questions, and make informed decisions in partnership with their healthcare teams.
