Blue Cure Men’s Health Tour
Since 2019, the Blue Cure Men’s Health Tour has reached men in over 40 cities across the country — and every corner of Texas — with one mission: to break stigma, raise awareness, and help men take action for their health.
What began as a cross-country, 8,867-mile journey during Men’s Health Month has grown into an annual tour that educates and empowers men to get their checkups, screenings, and know their numbers. Each stop includes media outreach, public speaking, and community conversations with urologists, doctors, patients, public health leaders, and elected officials.
The tour isn’t about lectures — it’s about listening. It’s about meeting men where they are, spotlighting health disparities, and amplifying local resources like federally qualified health centers that offer accessible care on a sliding fee scale for the uninsured and underserved.
Along the way, Gabe Canales — prostate cancer survivor and founder of Blue Cure — shares his personal story, highlighting how cancer at 35 became a wake-up call to live healthier and inspire others to do the same. He uses each visit to spark dialogue, raise awareness through media and social platforms, and promote early detection, prevention, and mental health support.
2025 marks the fifth Blue Cure Men’s Health Tour. We’re proud of the impact we’ve made — and we’re just getting started.

In Memory of Mayor Sylvester Turner (1954–2025)
We are deeply grateful for the partnership and support of Mayor Turner, who served as the 62nd Mayor of Houston from 2016 to 2024. He stood alongside Blue Cure to help raise awareness for men’s health, especially within underserved and minority communities.
Mayor Turner recorded public service announcements with Blue Cure founder Gabe Canales, courageously shared his own cancer journey, attended Blue Cure events, and issued proclamations recognizing our mission. His leadership helped amplify vital conversations about prevention, early detection, and access to care.
We honor his legacy and thank him for believing in our mission.
